Innovative Interventions currently has openings everywhere in Bergen and Passaic counties, with additional opportunities for Speech, Physical and Occupational therapists in Essex, Hudson, Morris, Sussex, and Union counties.  Bi-lingual and willingness to work in urban areas are a plus.

Innovative Interventions hires the following professionals on a part-time, independent contractor basis.

  • Speech Language Pathologist

  • Physical Therapist

  • Occupational Therapist

  • Special Educator

  • Child Development Specialist

  • Behavior Specialist

  • Social Worker

The ideal candidate will have the following:

At least one year working with children 0-5 with developmental delays and disabilities

A current license in your discipline through the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.  Desired traits for specific roles include:

 

Special Educator:
A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in health, human service or education field, and certification through the NJ Department of Education as a Teacher with endorsement as a Teacher of Student with Disabilities, a Teacher of the Deaf or Heard of Hearing, and/or a Teacher of the Blind or Visually Impaired; and at least six credits in infant and toddler development or early childhood development.

 

Child Development Specialist:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in health, human service or education field; and at least six credits in infant or early childhood development and/or special education coursework.

 

Behavior Specialist:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in health, human service or education field; and completed coursework from an accredited institution in behavioral methodology for children; and at least one year of documented professional experience implementing behavioral intervention programs for individuals from birth to five years of age who have developmental delays and disabilities.
